There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer.

Christian Rogers & Landscape Photography in Idaho

The above quote reminds me of the time my therapist told me never to use absolutes like always and every. Apparently she hadn't heard of Ansel Adams, or perhaps irony for that matter.

Anyway, according to that quote, you are now in all of my pictures that you decide to take a look at. Typically, landscape photographers get rather upset and are prone to yelling obscenities at people who are "in their shot", but luckily for you, I'm ok with it. In fact I encourage you to take your time and hang out in each one as long as you like. They say a picture speaks a thousand words and, according to Google, there are about 70,000 words in a short novel. So if there are 70 of my pictures here, then technically I've just become an author and you get to be the protagonist of my new book. That's got to be better than reading some generic guff about me being given a camera in my childhood and so began a lifelong passion of.... blah, blah, blah.

But, I'm an inclusive type of guy, so here’s some generic guff for those of you that want it. As you have likely inferred from it being plastered on every page here, my name is Christian Rogers. I own and occasionally use a camera, thus I can justify my claim of being a photographer. Apparently I also write short novels but I've only just learned this so I don't have much more to offer about that. A failed poker career catapulted me into photography but you'll need to buy a print if you want to know the rest of that story. I've always liked to travel and now I like to use my photography to make people jealous of my travels, it’s so satisfying.

Well, that's enough guff, so please, go and enjoy the photographs, after all Ansel Adams said they're not complete without you.... and I could really use some of these new book royalties.
